About ChronOtter

ChronOtter is a small, fast collection of everyday timing tools. A countdown, a precise stopwatch-style timer, world clocks, and dependable alarms — all in one place, all running right in your browser with nothing to install and no account to create.

Why we built it

Most timing tools are buried inside heavier apps, weighed down with ads and pop-ups, or simply slower than they need to be. We wanted the opposite: a single page that opens instantly, does exactly one job well, and stays out of your way. ChronOtter loads in a fraction of a second, works offline once visited, and remembers your presets between sessions — so the tool you reach for is always ready.

Who we are

ChronOtter is built and maintained by Foxroy, a small independent studio that makes focused web tools. The name is a blend of "chrono" (time) and "otter" — a nod to a creature that's quick, playful, and surprisingly precise. We work in the open, ship improvements often, and keep the product deliberately lean.

Count down to a moment that matters — a meeting, a workout interval, an exam, or a launch. Choose quick presets or a custom duration, then expand to fullscreen with an optional end-of-time sound.

Timer

A precise count-up timer for workouts, study sessions, cooking, or anything you want to measure. Capture laps and splits without losing your running total.

World Clocks

Pin the cities you care about and compare time zones at a glance — ideal for remote teams, family abroad, or planning a call that works for everyone.

Alarms

Set one-off or repeating alarms with clear labels, so the right reminder reaches you at the right time, right in the browser.

Your timers, alarms, and presets are stored on your device, not on our servers. We use lightweight analytics to understand what to improve, and never sell your data.

Every tool is free. We keep the lights on with unobtrusive, clearly labelled advertising rather than paywalls or subscriptions.

Works offline

ChronOtter installs as a Progressive Web App and keeps working without a connection once you've visited — handy on flights, in gyms, or anywhere signal is patchy.
